For years, famous celebrities have gained recognition using dance steps created by street dancers from the ghetto. This is the story of one local group, Crush City Rockers, aka General Electric of New York's Lower East Side and their Electric Boogie Dance style. The story is documented through one individual’s 45 year journey.
Director
Peter Arizmendi
As a dancer and independent filmmaker, I've been able to produce urban cinema for the last ten years. Film projects include The Ruwach, Cybercity, Young Joker along with various dance videos. Showcasing the influence hip hop culture has on the world paired with dance and film is the driving force behind my productions. The goal of my work is to pay homage to the history of hip hop that will leave a mark on the next generation.
