Chanell “Bird” Bell is a storyteller and humanitarian whose work is centered around queer narratives and black voices. Common themes found in her work include rebellion, resurgence, and reconciliation told through the lens of sci-fi, fantasy and dark comedy. Her work is meant to humor and spark curious wonder in the hearts of mankind. Garden Hands is a tribute to her grandmother who, in real life, loathes gardening due the many summers she spent as a child picking tobacco.
